Meet Star Fox: Project Guard.
Published 03/03/2016
Wii U exclusive Star Fox Zero finally has a release date – 22nd April in the UK.
In a surprise move, Nintendo also re-announced Project Guard, a Wii U tech demo designed by Shigeru Miyamoto which was shown off back at E3 two years ago.
It’s now called Star Fox: Guard and stars Slippy, along with his uncle Grippy. (Yes, seriously). The gameplay looks largely the same, where you must make your way past a screen full of security cameras.
Guard will be available separately via the eShop or together with Star Fox in a special edition pack with the two titles in one.
Tonight’s Nintendo Direct showed new areas of Star Fox Zero and confirmation of Amiibo compatibility – tap a Fox Amiibo and you’ll get to play as the angular Arwing from Star Fox 64.
